1955 Alfred Saliba, a young civil engineer, returns from Air Force duty in Japan and marries Henrietta Carpenter. He comes back to Dothan, the hometown that his grandfather helped settle, to raise a family.Saliba works with his father's remodeling business until he is financially able to begin his own residential construction company, Alfred Saliba Corporation.
1956 Saliba builds his first home, totaling 1,200 square feet, which sold for $9,500.
1957 Alfred Saliba becomes a founding member of the Dothan Homebuilders Association.
1972 Saliba relocates offices from North Oates Street to the current North Montgomery Highway site, which was considered the wilderness at that time, with only a mobile home park near the site. Now surrounded by Wiregrass Commons Mall and many other businesses and restaurants, this site is a major hub for business.
1978 Alfred Saliba is voted Builder of the Year by Dothan-Wiregrass Home Builders Association.
1979 Fred Saliba, oldest son of Alfred Saliba, joins ASC.
1982 Mark Saliba, son of Alfred Saliba, joins ASC.
1985-1986 Alfred Saliba serves as Chairman of the Board, Dothan Chamber of Commerce.
1987 Fred Saliba is appointed as the new President of Alfred Saliba Corporation.
1987-1997 Alfred Saliba serves as Mayor of the City of Dothan.
1993 Alfred Saliba Family Services is founded.
2001 Alfred Saliba Family Health Clinic is founded.
2005 ASC celebrates 50 years of building experience. In total, ASC has built over 2000 homes in Dothan and the surrounding areas.
2006 ASC breaks ground on Reflections On The Water, its newest undertaking. This lakefront resort community will become ASC's signature development.
2007 Alfred Saliba Corporation is on track for a record-breaking year, with plans to build more than $20 million in new residential construction, $1 million in commercial construction, and more than $2 million in residential remodeling.
2008 2008 ASC completes construction of it's new corporate offices, located a 410 N. Shady Lane, Dothan, Alabama. This 23,000 square foot office building is state of the art and is the pride of its owners, Alfred and Henrietta Saliba.
